Destiny Medina was born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Medina received her Bachelors in Art Therapy from Lesley University in 2021, and studied photography in high school at Lawrence High Schools Performing and Fine Art academy. As a Puerto Rican, much of Destiny’s artistic inspirations come from her heritage. Culture, faith, and nature are just some of the themes present in her work. Although Medina's main focus currently lies with photography, she finds interest in all mediums. As a jack of all trades, she views art as a means of exploration. Medina’s work is nonconforming, colorful and full of symbolism. Her main goals are to inspire future generations to be who they are, stand up for their beliefs, and to ultimately be proud of their roots.
